The museum is handicap accessible with an elevator to reach the second floor and accessible restroom facilities. Enter through our back entrance to avoid stairs. When you schedule your visit let us know if you need accessible accommodations so we can unlock the back door for you.

Docent-Guided
Admission- $5 per person (Free to children and members of GHS)
Our knowledgeable staff is on hand providing guided tours to help you navigate our thematic exhibits and period rooms. Guided tours of the North House Museum are available Monday through Saturday. Tours last about 45 minutes, with the first tour starting at 10 A.M.
Walking Tours - $10 per person
Minimum 5 people required for a docent guided tour. For groups of 4 or less, ask our docent about a Clio-guided tour.
Take a walking tour of historic Lewisburg! Our knowledgeable docents will teach you about the diverse history of this small West Virginia town. Learn about the many historic buildings, houses, and businesses, the discovery of Lewisburg by white settlers, the great fire of 1897, the Civil War Battle of Lewisburg, and more! Tours require walking up and down the rolling hills of Lewisburg and last around an hour.

Lewisburg History Walk: Explore the Town's Origins, Key Events, and Black HistoryDiscover the rich history of downtown Lewisburg on this engaging one-mile walk. Explore the town's origins and pivotal events, visiting key historical sites along the way. Guides will also take you through the vast Black history of the town, visiting historically Black business buildings and churches, and sharing stories about the people who inhabited these places. This walk offers a comprehensive view of Lewisburg's diverse heritage, highlighting both the town's development and the significant contributions of its Black community.
