Pearl Carter

Pearl Carter was born in 1919 in Caldwell, West Virginia. She walked nine miles each day to attend Bolling High School. For college, Pearl attended West Virginia State. She taught English at Bolling until the school closed. Pearl later taught at White Sulphur Springs High School and eventually Greenbrier East High School. She helped form the alumni association of Bolling High School and was a member of the Greenbrier County Board of Education.
