The Greenbrier Historical Society will be hosting an event for all history enthusiasts and those curious about their family heritage. Join us for an Intro to Genealogy Research workshop, a beginner’s workshop designed to unlock the secrets of your ancestry and how to use the resources at your disposal. This event will take place on Saturday, September 30th from 10:00 am - 11:30 am upstairs in the historic Law Library, located on Courtney Drive, Lewisburg, WV.
During the workshop, attendees will be guided through the fundamental principles of genealogical research, including:
Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with fellow genealogy enthusiasts, share stories, and exchange ideas. This workshop is the first of a planned series, with more advanced research strategies and techniques to be covered in later sessions. Participants are encouraged to take notes and give feedback on future workshops they would like to see. |
Spaces for this workshop are limited, so early registration is encouraged. This workshop is taking place on the top floor of a historical building that is not ADA compliant - please let us know if you will need special accommodations, as this location requires stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.
